Relax, unwind, de-stress and above all enjoy!

That is what your holiday in Central Portugal is all about. The personal and informal atmosphere of a bed & breakfast. That is why we also have additional services such as dinner on the day of arrival. You can eat a little with us together, please let us know. Also transport from the airport or train station, but also a nice lunch during one of your trips. We also offer the option of using a washing machine and optionally also a dryer for a small fee. Ideal if you do not want to travel with a lot of luggage!

Breakfast

Breakfast is served at Casa Traca in the cozy conservatory between 7.30 and 10 a.m. at a pre-arranged time. We serve breakfast at the table. Our breakfast includes fruit from our own garden and eggs from our own chickens. Breakfast is included in the room price.

Additional services

If you are going on a day trip, you can also use a packed lunch from Casa Traca. Please take some from the breakfast table. Do you want more please ask us for it.

We also have a small honesty bar. We check out with you when you check out.

You can use your own consumptions in the garden on one of the many terraces. In bad weather you are also welcome in the conservatory or in the library upstairs. Your room is also perfect for relaxing in peace and privacy.

Dosg allowed at Casa Traca

Dogs are also welcome at Bed and Breakfast Casa Traca, if well-behaved and listening. They must be social and also able to deal with other dogs. We have two males ourselves: a cross between a Serra da Estrella / flat coated retriever and a Labrador. We also have a bitch, a foundling who has now also found her own place with us. However, there are some house rules if you want to take your dog.

Dogs are only welcome if stated when booking and after consultation. We request a surcharge of € 5.00 per night for the dog. We donate this amount to a charity.
Your dog can stay in your room. However, this is only possible in the byzanthine room with balcony.

Other information

The entire garden is freely accessible for our guests. This is also perfect for a day of relaxation.

There are information folders both in the central hall and in the rooms. Here you will find important telephone numbers and addresses in addition to our household rules. Also included here is a brief overview of the books to be booked excursions. Daarbij ook informatie over things to see and do nearby.

Our check-out time is at 11 a.m. at the latest. However, if you want to use your room longer, this is possible if it is available. We ask a small fee for this.

Pick-up service

The easiest way to get to Casa Traca is by car. When you come by plane, the easiest and cheapest way is to choose ‘flying and driving’. We can advise you if you want. If you do not want to rent a car you can use our pick-up service from Coimbra. Ask about the possibilities. You can travel by train from Porto to Coimbra where we will pick you up at the station. Pick-up from Porto airport is only possible in consultation.

Tips:

For cheap airline tickets to Porto or Lisbon you can consult the cheapest tickets here. Renting a car is possible through one of the many rental companies that are present at the airport.

You can choose from 4 types of breakfast. If you want a vegetarian or vegan breakfast, you must mention this when booking. We offer:

A vegetarian breakfast with possibly fish (indicate at least 2 days before arrival)
